PARA Softball Field Availability

Field availability can be viewed at the link below. 
To reserve a field for your team, please text Chelsea Weldon at 850-501-1601. Fields are reserved on a first come, first serve basis. Payment for field reservations/lights will be handled through SportsEngine.

During the off season, fields are available throughout the week. However, once Spring ball season starts, Travel Teams can reserve fields on Wednesdays and on the weekends when there are no tournaments.

About PARA Softball

Pace has earned a reputation of being a softball powerhouse. PARA Softball is where the great Pace players learn the game. Incredible facilities and great weather bring one thing to mind — Play Ball!

SOFTBALL INFORMATION

PLEASE NOTE, EACH PLAYER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE FOLLOWING MANDATORY EQUIPMENT: FACE MASK, GLOVE, BAT, CLEATS, SOFTBALL PANTS, BELT, BATTING HELMET WITH FACE SHIELD

  • All coaches will have to pass a background check
  • Registration closes: January 25, 2025 @ 5:00pm. 
  • MANDATORY COACHES MEETING TBD
  • Softball Try Outs will be on February 1, 2025 at PARA Softball Quad at 10:00 am. Draft following. 
  • Practice Starts the week of February 3, 2025.
  • Games will start March 8,2025 
  • Season will consist of at least 2 games per week
  • Games are played on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursdays at 6pm and 7:30pm

Placement

Fall seasons -  placement is determined by the player's age on December 31st of the current year.  
Spring seasons - placement is determined by the player's age on December 31st of the previous year.

Things to Remember:

•No weekend games. (Except Opening Day)
•Game start times will vary depending on league but can vary between 5:30 and 7:30
•Practice schedules and game schedules are unknown until we know how many teams/players/coaches are in each division.

What Does Registration Cover?

(Registration fees do not include the cost of the uniform. Uniform costs are at the Coach's discretion, typically $50)

  • Electric bill (light cost have more than tripled in the past few years)
  • Umpires (Umpire costs have increased)
  • Grounds crew
  • Facility cleanliness (restrooms, trash pickup, toilet paper, paper towels, soap)
  • All supplies used to maintain the ball fields, (tractors used to drag the fields, chalk and paint, clay, etc.)
  • Dumpster pick up
  • Water & sewer usage

    RAFFLE INFORMATION

This 2025 SPRING Season (and moving forward) PARA Softball Teams will no longer be required to sell field signs for fundraising.

Included in your registration fees will be 5 raffle tickets available for your player to sell for $10.00 per ticket. This money does WILL NOT be turned into PARA. The Raffle Ticket Cost is included in your players registration fees. You will keep the $50.00 in ticket sales once you or your player sells their tickets.

Registration Breakdown:

*Softball Registration = $200.00 per player. Includes 5 tickets to sell @ $10.00 per ticket. (Registration fee- $150.00 and $50.00 raffle back into your pocket. Head coaches with free registration for their child will still need to pay the $50.00 raffle fee)

Raffle tickets will be handed out to all teams within the first 4 weeks of teams forming during a scheduled practice date. Each registered player will receive 5 tickets (face value of $10.00 per ticket) to sell. Tickets do not have to be sold and can be turned back in filled out with players name as the cost of all tickets have been included in the players registration.

The drawing will consist of several prizes, Tents, Coolers, Chairs, Gift Certificates, Baseballs, and many other sports related items will be included in the prize pool. We will announce the specific prizes before the end of registration via PARA Website and Facebook post.

The drawing will be held live on Facebook approximately mid-season with prizes available to be picked up at one of the monthly PARA board meetings during the Spring Season.

 

The Registration "Softball" is not currently available.

Additional Information

Each parent is responsible for providing a uniform for their player, as coordinated by the team. 

Each player will need cleats, a batting helmet WITH a face-mask, and a softball glove. 
 

For bats, please consult your team's head coach. The head coach will also provide parents with information on the color of the pants and socks worn in the game. Catcher’s gear is not provided by the park.


Girls are welcome to play in PARA’s Baseball League.

We always need coaches and encourage you to contact the VP of Softball to volunteer. Contact information is located at the top left of this page.
